Neighborhood Conference Recap

On Saturday (May 18) the City of Knoxville Office of Neighborhoods hosted the Neighborhood Conference at the Knoxville Convention Center.  This free conference provided a terrific opportunity for neighbors from all parts of the city to participate in four different community building workshops and visit more than 80 information booths sponsored by various local neighborhood & nonprofit organizations and local government departments whose purpose is to strengthen our community.  Neighbor Kevin was present at the Community Television of Knoxville (CTV) booth handing out ice cream scoops and encouraging neighbors to participate in the “Scoop of the Day” neighborhood promotion program, while neighbor Drew helped man the South Knoxville Neighborhood & Business Coalition (SKNBC) booth providing information about how that unique organization encourages collaboration between 10 different South Knoxville neighborhood organizations.
