Neighbor Day Celebration

Neighbors Kevin & Drew are completely immersed in planning activities associated the big  Neighbor Day Celebration & Fundraising Event to be held at St. James Episcopal Church (1101 N. Broadway) on Saturday, September 28th.  This entertaining event will celebrate the service of all St. James ministries to our neighbors and raise money to keep them going!  It will begin with an inspirational concert, continue with a delicious dinner, and conclude with an exciting fundraising auction!

Since its beginning nearly 100 years ago, St. James has always tended to its neighbors in many different ways.  Today, the Helping Hands Food Pantry regularly provides groceries, breakfast, and fellowship to neighbors in need every other week – year-round.  The Doorstep Ministry provides bag lunches, utility assistance, and resource referrals four days a week.  St. James also provides meals to the Volunteer Ministry Center twice a month.  The Prison Ministries provide mentoring to citizens returning to society after their release.  St. James also routinely provides meeting space for numerous recovery groups and other neighborhood organizations.
